Research & writing
Selected excerpts are presented in their original language, as published by the respective journals and platforms
Research and writing form a central axis of Andrea Penzo’s work. Alongside the artistic and applied practice, he develops theoretical and critical projects that investigate cultural production systems and the symbolic economy of glass.
Glass is observed as a historical device, a social technology, and a field of political imagination. Within this framework, writing becomes a way of working on language, method, and responsibility.
The practice includes essays, critical texts, editorial contributions, lectures, and collaborations with academic institutions and research contexts.
Projects are often developed in dialogue with universities, public bodies, and independent editorial platforms. The aim is to connect artistic thinking with operative reflection, producing knowledge that can circulate beyond the exhibition space.
