Andrea Penzo’s artistic practice focuses on glass as a formal, symbolic, and political device.
The work originates in Murano, understood not as an identity but as a field of experimentation, and investigates the relationships between production, value, territory, and cultural economies.
The works take different forms — installations, sculpture, research-based projects — and are developed in dialogue with institutions, independent spaces, and academic contexts.
Applied projects
Alongside his artistic research, Andrea Penzo develops applied projects related to glass.
He produces commissioned works, limited editions, and special projects for institutions, companies, and international brands, including Fendi, Dior, and Green Wolf, through an approach that is not decorative but rigorously project-driven and critical.

RESEARCH & WRITING
Writing and research are integral parts of the practice.
Through critical texts, essays, lectures, and long-term studies, Andrea Penzo investigates cultural production systems and the role of glass as a historical and conceptual device.
Writing does not function as an appendix to the works, but as an autonomous space of thought.

Editions presents a limited selection of works, books, and editions conceived as extensions of artistic and theoretical research.
These are not derivative objects or merchandise, but controlled outcomes of working processes, intended to circulate in a conscious and responsible way.
The editions include books, multiples, and glass works produced in limited series. Each project maintains a strong connection to the artistic practice, the material, and the context from which it originates. Every edition is conceived as an autonomous fragment of research, accessible without losing conceptual density.
