This necklace is part of a limited series of ten unique pieces, conceived as an edition that extends Andrea Penzo’s research on glass as material and gesture.
Individually flame-worked using traditional Murano glass techniques, this close-fitting necklace is composed of multicolored glass beads developed through layered applications of molten glass. Different colors and stratifications are built directly onto the surface of each bead, generating a dense and articulated texture in which chromatic variation emerges from the accumulation of material rather than from surface decoration.
Each bead retains a distinct rhythm and density. Variations in color distribution, surface, and proportion are intrinsic to the flame-working process and define the character of the piece. The necklace is conceived as a wearable object in which material complexity and formal restraint coexist.
As part of a limited edition, each necklace is unique. The differences between individual pieces are considered a constitutive element of the work.
